About Manas Nyas

Maa Narmada Sanrakshan Nyas (MANAS NYAS) was formed by us after our 3200 kms Narmada Parikrama on foot in 2017-18 which we did as our religious commitment to ourselves. Though it was a religious journey but it ends with the reality check. We experienced the hardships of people near the banks of Narmada, we found Environmental degradation of the River & we felt closely with the Socio Economic backwardness of the whole landscape. Then we realise to work for the people as well as the conservation of river Narmada & we formed this Trust.

We have chosen our place of work in Narsingpur’s rural village Rohni which is selected by Late Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati ji. Digvijaya Singh ji is a Dikshit Shishya of Shankaracharya ji and followed his wish to establish a link between Maa Narmada and the locals right at the banks of Narmada. We are in process of establishing an Ashram to provide free stay and food for parikramavasis in the same village.

River is the responsibilty of all of us. So we do awareness programs to keep people informed for common causes like cleaning, planting trees and avoid over use of sand mining etc.. We are closely working for the upliftment of rural communities also. From the distribution of uniforms, stationeries Sanitary napkins etc to the health camps, We are continiously trying to make their life easier and happier.

Making rural roads and reconstruction of the school are also done by us for the villagers other than the above works.
We arrange Bhandaras and Religious programs for locals on a periodical basis & Narmada Jayanti is an annual meeting point for all our co-walkers who did parikrama with us during 2017-18
